A custom tinted pickling stain was used to achieve just the right tones in the kitchen while allowing the grain of the wood to come through. The horizontal boards at the back and sides of the uniquely shaped island give the kitchen its modern flair while the inset shaker flat perimeter and cabinets maintain the traditional style.
